EV Charger Installation FAQ

Do I need a permit to install an EV charger in NC?

Yes. All Level 2 EV charger installations in North Carolina require an electrical permit. We pull the permit and coordinate the final inspection — you don't have to deal with any paperwork.

How long does Level 2 EV charger installation take?

Most home EV charger installations are completed in 2–4 hours. If your panel needs a capacity upgrade first, that's typically scheduled as a separate visit and adds time.

Will my current electrical panel support a Level 2 charger?

A Level 2 charger requires a dedicated 240V circuit, typically 40–60 amps. We assess your panel capacity before we start and let you know upfront if an upgrade is needed.

Which EV brands and charger models do you install?

We work with all J1772-standard vehicles and major EVSE brands — including Tesla (with adapter), Ford, GM, Rivian, Hyundai, Kia, and others. We can help you choose the right charger for your vehicle and daily mileage.
